I live inside a world
of poetry and
(I am strong!)
And I remember every angel I have
seen along the many, many miles I
have come
And I have seen men broken and bewildered
huddled by the side of dirt roads, and these
children, these souls were
sent by god to show me
how the buddhas live
And I have been taken by spectres of light
deep into magical forests
(lain in the arms of a paradise so
complete it is always with me)

She meets me in a space
(inside of dawn
somewhere other than the nighttime)
it is during the nighttime but much more
like it's own
time (lightning in a
can)
We open it carefully,
tenderly,
the way one throws stones at the moon
Holding me as if I were a stone that could be thrown
right through the moon
(I skip along the sky as if it were
water)

Mystified with sleep we
ramble through these times
alive enough to know
about visions & afterlife
(starving and desolate we
remain)
Outlaws of our own cause
destined to destroy every fragment
of humanity
(when the machines took over
I sat staring at the sky and the last
nighttime washed over me without
a trace of sadness)
She gave me a look that could
shatter souls and whispered
that it was for me she survived

...and I love everything around you and I love,
whatever you love
...and I spread the wealth of my spirit like a moving
shifting, growing, and contracting blanket all around me
(around the earth and the road and the cars and the friends
and the strangers, and those that would kill me and those I would kill, and those
that refuse to do nothing but love me)
and all the tyrants, and all the emperors, and all the gods
and the crazy burned out buddahs
(I raise my cup to each and every one,
I spread my blanket beneath your feet
whatever you love
...and I spread the wealth of my spirit like a moving

I feel free with her
(she likes two wheels)
We ain't ridin nowhere
Took me to the phantom
spaces
(some kind of dark angels
dancing in the forest)
(she moves without rain-
filled clouds glide right
through her)
She ain't ridin nowhere
(and I don't mind
no I don't mind the)
way we ride
She ain't ridin' nowhere
tonight and I'm right
there by her side
Yeah we ain't ridin nowhere
(nowhere without the sky)
and the rooster crows inside the
dawn of our lives
And I'm tattooed like I ride
freedom written write across my
back
(she likes two wheels)
We ain't ridin nowhere
Took me to the phantom
spaces

I am the fire
and the earth and the
water and the air
I am whatever elements
Aristotle believed
comprised the universe
I glide smoothly over this world
(it's a circle after all)
Rolling along small sections of the circle
on my combustion powered cycle
Something out of a dark and mystic future
something from an archaic past
and I think of you always
and there is poetry in my blood
in my bones
in my frontal lobe
All my nerve endings
fluids
appendages
nails, hair
senses and sensory perceptions
are alive with an outlier perception
of alien, freedom
Air breathing itself without form
fire kindling itself without oxygen
earth suspending itself without gravity
water shaping itself with no container
and the earth and the
water and the air
I am whatever elements

Abstract mythology of nationalism
cultural-nationalism
(my warped brain is fused with the
stars and stripes
crazy stars, and bloody stripes)
I got stars for eyes
blind faith in capitalism and democracy
Kill to be free
we must kill to be free
Stripes of blood runnin' across all my
dreams
all my bloody dreams
Walk the earth a Proud American
No one can stop me
my passport is backed up by a billion
bombs
And I'm not ashamed anymore
and I love it
Dam right I've got the right!
Right to bear arms and live beyond my means
right to die free
I can talk shit about her but
YOU CAN'T
don't you dare say anything about my girl!
(remember we saved ALL your asses back in
WWII)
Screw you
I'm American

Back on the backroads
(I can see the galaxy tonight)
Stopped by an old church
by the side of the road
to talk to you
(illuminated steeple
listening to hoot owls)
Crisp night/summer air knifing
my skin
(as I fly on this machine)
I imagine that outlaws stick mainly to backroads
passersby are a little frendlier (on backroads)
think I'm gonna stay
